JSS Academy of Technical Education, NOIDA feels pride to relaunch its much-awaited MCA program from the current year 2021 with an intake of 60. The Programme’s thrust is on giving the students a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application-oriented courses relevant to latest computer applications development. The programme emphasizes strong theoretical foundations and hands-on practical work. The students exhibit their learning as seminars, mini and major projects. The department endeavours to provide invigorating academic ambience to nurture their technical skills and come up as thorough professionals. The department encourages its faculty members to attend Conferences/ Seminars/ Symposiums/ Orientation Programs/FDP’s to acquire high teaching & research standards. Most of the Faculty members of the Department are involved in research in various branches of Computer Applications. Their work is published in journals of repute and presented in various National/International Conferences in India and abroad.

MCA will be a postgraduate programme with advanced learning solutions imparting knowledge of application-oriented courses relevant to latest computer applications development. Earlier duration of MCA programme was 3 years, out of which full final semester was industrial training. Now the duration has been reduced to 2 years with removal of industrial training. To provide industrial exposure to the students, they will be encouraged to undergo in project internship in industry in pre-final and final semester along with academic courses.
At present, with the advancement of IT & Communication systems, students with good computer application skills are highly demanded in IT sector. MCA qualified students have opportunity to work both in government and private sector. One of the previous projects taken up by MCA students (with an entrepreneur located in Software Technology Entrepreneur Park within the campus) has converted to a product named ‘Panini’ which offers a means to type in 11 languages of India on the mobile phone. It is also a means to transliterate between the languages. Extending the Indian language texting technology for English to a new predictive text technology has also converted to a product called ‘Clever Texting’. The other major projects taken up are at BHEL, WIPRO, Infosys, ORACLE, HCL, HP, KEAN, TCS, Accenture, MAQ, Mindfire, Tech Mahindra, Induslogic, IBM etc.
